Reduce 70% of pesticides by using liquid ozone
Mr. Dang Van Vu, Director of Ho Chi Minh City Environment Services Company, said after testing liquid ozone at some vegetable farms in Da Lat, Bao Loc (Lam Dong) and the winter-spring crop of 2018 in Can Tho.

Ozone is a strong oxidizing agent (capable of handling toxins, colors, odors, and etc), which can replace chlorine in disinfection and bactericidal. Compare to other methods, the use of ozone has many advantages, such as higher effectiveness of killing viruses and bacteria; Rapid decomposition of odor molecules; No secondary pollution, environmental friendly; etc. Therefore, Ozone is applied in the world in many fields, such as health, environment, agriculture, fisheriesand etc for a long time.

With the support from Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology, the engineering team of start-up enterprises - Ho Chi Minh City Environmental Services Limited Company has researched and developed a product using liquid ozone to treat polluted soil, pest and disease protection instead of chemical pesticides, etc.

According to Mr. Vu, products contain ozone at a rate of about 2% along with amino acids, saturated fatty acids, Omega 3, Omega 9, Palmitic when entering the soil environment, ozone will release the free oxygen atom with very strong oxidation.

This free oxygen will break the circuit of chemicals, chemical fertilizers, pesticide residues in the soil, help restore the soil. "The time for land reclamation takes about 1 month compared to the yearly if the land is to recover itself" - Mr. Vu said.
